Video Editor

Summary
As a Video Editor, you would create engaging, inspirational, and high-quality video content that supports the mission and values of Jesus Culture. This role plays a key part in telling the story of our church, movement, and community through compelling visual storytelling.

The Video Editor will collaborate closely with the Creative Team, pastors, and staff to produce video content for weekend services, events, campaigns, conferences, music releases, and digital platforms. This position serves the entire Jesus Culture Sacramento team and helps establish and maintain a culture of excellence, integrity, and creativity.

Work Schedule
Approximately 25 hours per week. Schedule may include evenings and weekends based on
church services, events, and production needs.

Compensation
Commensurate with experience.

Reporting
This team member reports directly to the Video Director and will interact closely with all department leads.

What You'll Do

Pre-Production: Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop creative video concepts; plan, storyboard, and prepare projects; coordinate video shoots; conduct interviews; maintain equipment.

Production: Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment; capture high-quality footage of services and events; ensure excellent visual and audio quality.

Post-Production: Create promotional videos and highlight reels; produce social media content; incorporate graphics and animations; sync audio; manage archives; assist with live streaming; stay current with tools and trends.

What You'll Bring

Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and Frame.io.

Experience with motion graphics and animation is a plus.

Strong understanding of video production, including shooting, editing, lighting, and sound.

Creative storytelling ability with a strong eye for composition.

Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Clear communication skills and openness to feedback.

Commitment to the mission and values of Jesus Culture.

Church or non-profit experience is a plus, but not required.

Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.

High attention to detail.

Strategic thinking skills with a strong bias for action and a people-driven mindset.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while staying calm under pressure.

2+ years of project management or similar experience.

Experience breaking down complex ideas into manageable tasks.

Self-starter that collaborates well with team members.

Ability to adjust quickly and effectively in a rapidly changing environment.

Proficient knowledge of DropBox, Google Drive, Mail, and typing experience.
