Can you imagine waiting for a phone call expecting the worst news, but when the call comes, to your surprise, you get the best news of your life? When we were writing this song, we were captivated by the story in John 20 when Mary went to Jesus’ tomb to grieve. She was wrapped up in her sorrow, thinking that His body had been taken, and didn’t recognize Him in front of her - thinking He was just the gardener. It wasn’t until He said her name, “Mary”, that she realized Who He was - that Jesus was alive and she was filled with joy and relief. She had Good News and had to tell everyone
