Growth Starts Where You Are Planted
Whether you are new to our community or have been part of the family for a while, our desire is to help you grow and thrive. We believe that in order to thrive and be healthy, you must be planted for growth. In the Kingdom of God you never “arrive”, meaning, we must always be postured for growth. Here are some key steps to seeking growth within our JC Sacramento Community!
Step one
Get Planted
Growth starts where you are PLANTED.
Planted in the Presence of God
Planted in the Word of God
Planted in the Family of God
Step One
Get Planted
Turning in the Connect Card allows us to add you to our email list. Every week, an email will hit your inbox with the latest church updates. Turn your card in at the Guest Lounge and receive a special gift from us, or drop it in the offering buckets.
Stop by one of our Guest Lounges and chat with a Host (you’ll love it). We’ve got a high five, a hug and a mug, just for you.
Hang with our leaders. Join us for a (short and casual) gathering directly following every service, on the first Sunday of every month. We’ll be providing snacks and beverages for anyone who would like to learn more about who we are! It’s the perfect time to learn about JC Sacramento and connect with our leaders. No need to sign up!
Elements is a 3-week introduction to our history, heartbeat, and culture. It happens the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of every month. Elements is the perfect opportunity to meet our staff and get acclimated here at JC Sacramento. You can read more about it here.
Join a Host team. Our hosts are a key part in logistically making Sundays happen, as well as hosting the Presence of God and His people well. After you complete Elements, you can begin serving on a Host team. You will have the opportunity to discover connection and family by serving as a Host. Our Hosts are the lifeblood of what we do, and serving alongside one another is the best way to be to engage our culture at JC Sacramento. Sign up to be a host here.
Step two
Start Growing
GROWTH happens through our connection with God, our connectoin to others, contributing to the family, and times of equipping and development.
Step Two
Get Growing
As you know, we host weekly Sunday services as a place to corporately worship, learn more about God, and press in for more of His presence in our own lives and our city. We also host special Sunday night services throughout the year. Although we wholeheartedly believe in community outside of church, we believe that these times together, as a church family, are just as crucial to your process of growth. See you there!
After you’ve attended Elements, we would love for you to jump into The Blessed Life Course. This course is created to help you grow and go deeper. Read more about The Blessed Life here. P.S. We will be launching a new course, The Awakened Life, soon, so stay tuned.
Here at JC Sacramento, we ask you to partner with us in creating organic community (i.e. ask someone out to coffee!). We also have several Community groups you can be a part of, like the Young Adults’, Women’s, and Men’s Communities, to name a few. You can read more about those, here.
Three times a year we strategically plan City Groups that gather throughout the greater Sacramento region for 5-6 weeks at a time. We are always so encouraged by the testimonies of breakthrough that come out of these times! City Groups are a place to go deeper in connection with one another and grow in our connection with God. You can read more about City Groups here!
Step three
Bear Fruit
The result of growth is bearing HEALTHY FRUIT in every area of our lives.
Bearing fruit in our personal lives: emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
Bearing fruit in our relationships: with our friends and family.
Bearing fruit in our city: society, workplace, campus and neighborhood.
We are so glad that you are on this journey of growth with us.
